Daniel Kutata, a community ranger in Southern Kenya, is at the centre of a growing human-elephant conflict along a vital migratory route. Each night, he responds to farmers’ calls for help, chasing off crop-raiding elephants that have begun breaking through electric fences. Camera trap footage reveals this remarkable skill is being passed to younger bulls, threatening to overwhelm Daniel and his team. Caught between livelihoods and wildlife, he strives to maintain a fragile peace - and to pass on a dream of coexistence to his children.
