with J.G. Larochette
This breakout session will dive into how to bring mindfulness to inner city youth in a way that students can use their voice, feel deeply connected to the practice and relate to. Participants will learn how to use call and response, empowering student voice, simple engaging strategies, rhyming mindfulness language as well as be given the Rise-Up Mindful Life Hip Hop CD with the lyrics to the songs that are mindfulness lessons. This will increase participants “toolbox” on how to bring mindfulness to life in the classroom!
