This workshop will build and expand upon my keynote. Together we will continue to explore how the power of mindfulness is the heart of pure performance in sports and in life. In this workshop, you will learn some of the same practices that I shared with elite athletes including Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, Olympic athletes, college athletes, youth athletes, teachers, coaches, parents, and business leaders. These practices can enhance your performance in sports and in life.
To be a mindful athlete you have to be a mindful person. Life is a marathon and in order to run this marathon effectively, we need to train in the same way the wise athlete trains to compete effectively and compassionately in a sport.
In this workshop, we will explore specific ways of training in mindfulness. How mindfulness cultivates and balances mental faculties such as Trust, Wisdom, Diligence, and Poise, and how these same mental qualities cultivate and make possible a more powerful mindfulness.
The workshop will include mindfulness practices including sitting, discourse, discussion, and question and answer segments.
