The Power of Mindfulness is at the heart of the secrets to pure performance. In my book The Mindful Athlete: Secrets to Pure Performance, I share my experience working with elite as well as weekend, part-time athletes. In this keynote I will share practices and exercises from the book. You will learn some of the same practices that were taught to such elite athletes as Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.
To be a mindful athlete you have to be a mindful person. Life is a marathon, and in order to run this marathon effectively, we need to train in the same way the wise athlete trains to compete effectively and compassionately in a sport.
In this keynote, we will explore specific ways of training in mindfulness. How mindfulness cultivates and balances mental faculties such as Trust, Wisdom, Diligence, and Poise, and how these same mental qualities cultivate and enhance mindfulness.
The more deeply we are connected to the vastness of our own still, quiet center, the less thrown off balance we are by whatever distractions and challenges come our way, big or small.
